Browns getting calls for No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL draft

The Cleveland Browns hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, but for how much longer?

While many expect the Browns to select the Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter, with the No. 2 overall pick on Thursday night, their phones have been on fire. ESPN’s Peter Schrager has reported that teams are calling the Browns in an attempt to trade up to the No. 2 overall pick, presumably for Hunter. Schrager, however, had two other players teams could be coming up to try and get: Penn State pass rusher Abdul Carter and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler has confirmed that multiple teams in the top 10 are calling the Browns, trying to come up the board. Fowler has stated, however, that the Browns are “keeping completely quiet.” He adds that the expectation is that Cleveland will sit with their own pick and select Hunter, calling it “a surprise to many, even some within the Browns’ building” if they opted to move off of the Colorado superstar.

We are less than 48 hours from a new era of Browns players entering the facility. It looks like it will be Hunter, but only time will tell for certain.
