Chargers announce guest pick announcer for Day 2

Day 2 of the draft has become a chance for the league to showcase its past, present, and future, with a number of former and active players tapped from each team to present a pick on stage.

On Thursday, the NFL announced who will be announcing the Round 2 and 3 selections for all teams in the league. For the Chargers, former running back Melvin Gordon will have the honors.

Gordon, a first-round pick of the 2015 NFL draft out of Wisconsin, ran for 4,240 yards and 36 touchdowns, with 1,873 receiving yards and 11 additional scores on 224 receptions in five seasons with the Bolts.

After failing to agree to a multi-year commitment with the Chargers, Gordon signed with the Broncos in 2020. He played 41 games for Denver over a three-season span, and scored 22 total touchdowns (19 rushing, three receiving).

In 2023, Gordon signed with the Ravens, appearing in four games and totaling 81 yards and a TD on 26 carries. He caught three passes for 46 yards.
