Class of 2025 recruit Adrian Wilson seems to have difficulty deciding where he wants to play college football.
After less than a semester on Colorado’s campus, the true freshman wide receiver will be entering the transfer portal. The news might be surprising considering Wilson has yet to play a down of football for Colorado, but if you look at his history, it isn’t that surprising.
Wilson, a four-star recruit from Pflugerville, Texas, committed to the Buffs after previously committing to Arizona State, Oregon and TCU. Colorado was the fourth school he pledged allegiance to throughout his recruitment, and he will add at least a fifth before he plays his first college snap in the fall.
Wilson dropped down the depth chart this spring as fellow freshman Quentin Gibson and Quanell Farrakhan Jr. made more considerable impacts.
Wilson becomes the third player to announce his departure this spring, following running back Isaiah Augustave and defensive end Taje McCoy. With the addition of Sincere Brown last week and Joseph Williams already in the program, the Buffs appear fairly set in the receiver department.
The transfer portal will remain open until April 25, with the expectation that Deion Sanders and company should be active participants.
