The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and delivering both internal and external communications for Ocean Technologies Group (OTG) and OneOcean. This role ensures employees, stakeholders, and external audiences receive clear, engaging, and consistent messaging aligned with the company’s vision, values, and strategic goals. The role will drive internal engagement, support employer branding, and manage corporate communications to enhance OTG and OneOcean’s reputation.
- Develop and execute an internal communications strategy to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
- Craft and manage executive communications, including leadership messages, announcements, and presentations.
- Drive communication of HR programs, cultural initiatives, and business updates.
- Manage internal communication platforms, including intranet, newsletters, and digital collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Teams).
- Organise and manage company-wide events, town halls, and engagement campaigns.
- Measure the effectiveness of internal communications through surveys, feedback mechanisms, and analytics.
- Develop and oversee external communication strategies to enhance OTG and OneOcean’s public image.
- Manage press releases, media relations, and corporate announcements in collaboration with PR agencies.
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure consistent branding and messaging across internal and external channels.
- Support employer branding initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
- Act as a key contact for external communication requests, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Support leadership with change management communications during periods of transformation, M&A activity, or restructuring.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans, ensuring clear, timely, and consistent messaging.
- Provide strategic advice on sensitive communication topics and key company announcements.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in internal and external communications, employee engagement, or corporate communications.
- Experience in a global, fast-paced, and multi-location organisation.
- Proven ability to translate business and HR priorities into compelling, audience-focused communication strategies. Strong experience managing corporate messaging, PR initiatives, and employer branding.[AM1]
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and editing skills, with a strong grasp of tone and messaging.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively with senior leadership.
- Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience with media relations, press releases, and crisis communication strategies.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, content management systems, and digital communication tools.
