The NBA has announced the participants in the three-point contest, which will take place during All-Star weekend next week. The competition will happen on Saturday, Feb. 15, as one of the three skills events on that day.

The field is highlighted by two-time reigning champ Damian Lillard, who will be defending his title and aiming for a three-peat. Lillard has a chance to join Larry Bird and Craig Hodges as the only players to win the competition three consecutive times.

The participants in the contest will be:

  • Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks)

  • Cade Cunningham (Detroit Pistons)

  • Darius Garland (Cleveland Cavaliers)

  • Tyler Herro (Miami Heat)

  • Buddy Hield (Golden State Warriors)

  • Cam Johnson (Brooklyn Nets)

  • Damian Lillard (Milwaukee Bucks)

  • Norman Powell (Los Angeles Clippers)

Lillard is the most experienced of the three-point field, and will join the competition for the fifth time in his career.

Hield, the three-point champ in 2020, will take on the challenge for the third time in his career, while Herro and Brunson will participate for their second time. Cunningham, Garland, Johnson and Powell are all first-time participants.

Lillard, Brunson, Cunningham, Garland and Herro will also play in the All-Star game on Sunday as part of the official All-Star roster.
