The Blue Jackets could be getting back an important piece sooner rather than later.
Erik Gudbranson has been cleared to practice with no limitations, according to HC Dean Evason. Gudbranson suffered a shoulder injury after playing just three games this season and had shoulder surgery.

Gudbranson played in three games this season and registered no points, but his leadership and experience will be a shot in the arm to this defensive corps.

The question will be: Who gets pulled from the lineup once Gudbranson comes back? The easy answer is Denton Mateychuk, who had a very rough game against the Panthers but has gained some valuable experience since his recall from Cleveland.
