Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman added four new players in August
The Eagles have been active on the phones this weekend, agreeing to three trades on Sunday as the roster cut deadline approaches.
The first deal saw Philadelphia acquire 24-year-old quarterback Sam Howell from the Minnesota Vikings. General Manager Howie Roseman followed that up with two evening trades, bringing back familiar face Fred Johnson and shipping Darian Kinnard to Green Bay.
That makes five trades the Eagles have made since training camp got underway. Here is a summary of all the players and assets that have been exchanged:
Traded
- DT Thomas Booker
- TE Harrison Bryant
- OT Darian Kinnard
- 2026 5th-round pick
- 2026 5th-round pick
- 2026 7th -round pick
- 2027 7th-round pick
Received
- CB Jakorian Bennett
- WR John Metchie III
- QB Sam Howell
- OT Fred Johnson
- 2026 6th-round pick
- 2026 6th-round pick
- 2027 6th-round pick
Roseman is never satisfied with the roster and has a history of making trades late in August. If there’s a chance to add talent, the Eagles are bound to take advantage.
With 19 draft picks at their disposal over the next two years, Philadelphia will likely remain active on the open market.
