Former Jacksonville Jaguars’ wide receiver Chris Conley is retiring from the NFL after 10 seasons.
According to Ian Rapoport, Conley is going back to school at Georgia to pursue his dreams of being a filmmaker.
Conley was a third-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs out of Georgia in the 2015 NFL draft. He played with five different teams over his career, which includes two years in Jacksonville in 2019 and 2020.
As a member of the Jaguars, Conley appeared in 31 games and made 18 starts. He caught 87 passes for 1,246 yards with seven touchdowns, according to PFF.
Conley’s 2019 season with the Jaguars was the most productive of his career, where he totaled 775 receiving yards at 16.5 yards per catch with five scores.
Conley finished his playing career, appearing in 132 games and making 65 starts. He caught 226 passes for 2,998 yards with 15 touchdowns. He spent his last two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, where he took on a larger role on special teams.
