Hailey Van Lith will play alongside Angel Reese once again. The former LSU women’s basketball stars will be reunited in Chicago after the Sky selected Van Lith with the No. 11 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday night.
Reese and Van Lith spent one season together at LSU in 2023-24, making an Elite Eight run that ended with a loss to Iowa. Reese then declared for the draft, and Van Lith hopped in the transfer portal, landing at TCU. After one year with the Horned Frogs, Van Lith is off to the professional ranks.
Van Lith played 172 collegiate games, a women’s D-I record. Before LSU and TCU, she spent the first three years of her career at Louisville. She averaged 15.2 points per game in college.
In their single season at LSU, Reese and Van Lith combined to average 30.2 points per game. They’ll look to replicate that impact in the WNBA.
Reese finished second in the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year voting in her debut campaign. She averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game.
