After visiting Eugene on Sunday, former UAB wide receiver Iverson Hooks has announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks.
Hooks was rated as a three-star and the No. 56 wide receiver and No. 262 overall player in the transfer portal.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder is a Pike Road, AL native and stood out during his four seasons as a Blazer. Hooks recorded under 200 receiving yards in both 2023 and 2024, but broke out as the Blazers’ leading receiver this season, totaling 927 yards and seven touchdowns on 72 receptions.
Despite his standout efforts, in which he was named a second-team All-AAC selection, UAB finished 4-8.
Due to his size, Hooks is likely to draw comparisons to former Duck standout Tez Johnson, who’s the same height but is ten pounds lighter. They have a similar game, as Hooks is a jitterbug out of the slot, excelling at finding open space and eating up yards after the catch.

The former Bronco visited numerous other schools such as Wisconsin, Indiana, Oklahoma State and others, but eventually landed at Oregon.
Due to a season-ending injury in which he played in just three games during his redshirt freshman season, Hooks will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
