The Georgia Bulldogs are in the running for four-star running back recruit Jae Lamar, who brought down his list of top schools down to six. Lamar included Georgia in his top schools along with Miami, Florida State, Auburn, Clemson and Ohio State, according to Hayes Fawcett on On3.
Lamar is a four-star running back in the class of 2026. The 6-foot, 205-pound running back plays football at Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia. Former Georgia running back Daijun Edwards also played for Colquitt County.
Georgia has pursued Lamar heavily since 2024. The Bulldogs offered him on Oct. 7, 2024 and 247Sports has predicted him to commit to Georgia. Lamar’s going to Athens on an official visit on May 30, 2025.
Georgia could use another running back in the fold for 2026. Nate Frazier is expected to be the lead back in 2025, with transfer Josh McCray, Roderick Robinson II, and Chauncey Bowens receiving some carries too. However, most of them are bigger-bodied running backs, with all except Nate Frazier weighing at least 225 pounds.
Lamar is the eighth-ranked running back and the No. 104 recruit in the nation. He is also the 11th-ranked prospect from Georgia.
