Giannis Antetokounmpo Fuels Knicks Speculation With 2-Word Message Sunday

The New York Knicks are scheduled to begin their Eastern Conference Finals series against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, May 21 at Madison Square Garden in downtown New York City.

Wednesday’s game will give coach Tom Thibodeau’s team a chance to start off on the right foot against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season, albeit with a roster depleted due to injury.

On Sunday, the eyes of the social media world were became squarely focused on Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was asked a direct question on social media that he answered as directly as humanly possible.

The Bucks forward’s answer turned heads on social media as he fueled speculation of an offseason move to the Knicks.

The Bucks superstar replied “New York” when asked about his favorite city to play in on the road.

Antetokounmpo’s simple two word phrase predictably caused fans to respond with Knicks and Nets related scenarios under the post.

One fan posted a possible trade between the Knicks and Bucks involving Antetokounmpo and Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns.

“KNICKKKKKK,” another fan added.

‘Bro knows he just set the Internet on fire,” another said with a fire emoji.

“He’s going to play with (Jalen) Brunson,” another added.

“I can already hear the clacking of reporters writing up Giannis to Knicks trade rumors all across the nation,” another fan added.
