Due to an abundance of injuries, the New York Giants were forced into some roster juggling on Saturday, resulting in six total transactions.
Linebackers Zaire Barnes and Tomon Fox were signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Barnes was out of elevations, while Fox has been signed, released, and re-signed multiple times this season.
To create room on the active roster for the two linebackers, rookie wide receiver Beaux Collins (neck) and linebacker Darius Muasau (ankle) were placed on injured reserve (IR). The loss of Muasau is especially tough for the Giants, considering he was already serving as the replacement to Micah McFadden, who remains on IR.
Collins was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame in April. In nine games this season, he hauled in two receptions for 25 yards and recorded five special teams tackles (one solo).
In their final pair of moves, the Giants elevated veteran kicker Younghoe Koo and wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud from the practice squad.
For Koo, this is his first elevation. He will start in place of the injured Graham Gano (neck) on Sunday. McCloud has been elevated twice and has one elevation remaining.
