Giants signing safety K’Von Wallace

The New York Giants are set at most positions entering training camp, but there was one lingering question: Who would earn the fourth spot at safety?

While the answer to that question still isn’t set in stone, the Giants intend to allow a former fourth-round pick an opportunity to compete for that job.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that the Giants are signing K’Von Wallace.

Wallace, 27, was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles and spent his first three seasons in the City of Brotherly Love.

After being waived in August of 2023, Wallace was picked up by the Arizona Cardinals, where he started just five games before once again being released. The Tennessee Titans promtply claimed him off waivers and Wallace finished out the year in Nashville.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound safety signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent last March, but landed on injured reserve (IR) with an ankle issue after nine games. While his 21-day practice window was opened in December, it expired without activation, ending his season.

Wallace attended Giants minicamp on a tryout basis in June.

In 71 career games (19 starts), Wallace has recorded 168 tackles (119 solo, two for a loss), one QB hit, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, eight passes defensed, and one interception.

A corresponding roster move has not yet been announced.
