Speaking about Harshvardhan Rane’s potential casting, a source revealed that followed by his recent success, the actor has been receiving many meaty offers in big-budget ventures. “Harsh’s stupendous success with the re-release of Sanam Teri Kasam has paid rich dividends. He’s been getting some plum offers, one of which is the opportunity to play the antagonist in Race 4. He’s not been finalised yet, but chances are this casting coup will come to fruition,” said the source.
Earlier reports suggested that Sidharth Malhotra might also be a part of Race 4, but no cast member aside from Saif Ali Khan has been officially confirmed. Additionally, the film’s leading ladies have yet to be decided. Another major change speculated is in the film’s directorial reins – while initial reports pointed to Kal Ho Naa Ho filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, recent updates suggest that Adipurush director Om Raut may helm the project instead.
If finalized, this would mark Harshvardhan’s first venture into a mainstream commercial thriller of this scale.
