Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and people-focused HR Specialist to support and enhance our human resources operations (part time). The HR Specialist will play a key role in administering HR policies, procedures, and programs while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position requires strong communication skills, confidentiality, and a commitment to employee experience.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Administer and maintain HR systems, records, and documentation (e.g., onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, benefits enrollment).
  • Assist in recruitment efforts by posting jobs, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
  • Provide day-to-day employee support on HR-related matters, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support employee relations initiatives and help resolve HR issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Coordinate training and development programs as needed.
  • Assist with HR data analysis and reporting for audits, metrics, and strategic planning.
  • Participate in the implementation of HR projects and initiatives (e.g., Employee engagement, wellness).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a generalist or specialist HR role.
  • Solid understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, BambooHR, Paycom) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience supporting remote or multi-state teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building a positive workplace culture.
