As Iowa football continues to be active in the transfer portal, the Hawkeyes are among the top 6 schools considered a possible destination for former Memphis defensive back Chris Bracy.
Bracy, a 6-foot-1, 195-pound native of Mobile, Alabama, spent the 2025 campaign with the Tigers, made 81 tackles (48 solo, 33 assisted), nine pass deflections, one interception, and one forced fumble. Before his time with the Tigers, Bracy spent two seasons with Alabama-Birmingham.

In his college career, he’s totaled 116 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 11 pass deflections, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. Brady will have two years of eligibility left wherever he elects to commit to out of the transfer portal.
Among the other five programs listed as potential landing spots are Clemson, Houston, Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Big Ten foe Michigan.
While the transfer portal is a bit unpredictable, given the various factors involved, landing the talented defensive back would add another hard-hitting body to Phil Parker’s defensive unit, which has proven annually to be among the best in the nation.
