IT Administrator

Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze business requirements, conduct planning, and install the company’s computer and network infrastructure;
  • Design, implement, and support secure network solutions, remote access, and information security;
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages;
  • Support users, laptops, and mobile devices who are remotely distributed;
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems, databases, drives, VPN servers and clients, and equipment;
  • Manage servers, firewalls, switches, and other network devices;
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models;
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies;
  • Be a technical advisor for the development team;
  • Install and configure software, hardware, and networks;
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, VPN servers, and firewalls;
  • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements;
  • Respond to remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications;
  • Maintain trading systems and provide on-call support during trading hours;
  • Keep the internal wiki up to date with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies;
  • Troubleshoot network issues;
  • Advise developers regarding network infrastructure;
  • Design and enforce network security policies;
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

Requirements:

  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; 
  • Solid understanding and experience administering Ubuntu and Linux servers in a production environment;
  • Theoretical and working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, IGMP, BGP;
  • Work experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, etc;
  • Knowledge of VPN environments, including OpenVPN;
  • Linux sysadmin skills;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience operating in a similar role;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with the team;
  • Availability to provide on-call support;
  • Strong knowledge of bash script or other script programming language;
  • Work experience with routers, firewalls, and switches;
  • Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new technologies;
  • Work experience with the setup of servers and network equipment for acquisition, assuring technical requirements for data throughput and processing;
  • Be a positive, collaborative, and constructive team player;
  • Availability for national and international travel;
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn in a fluid and fast-paced environment;
