Tennessee junior left-handed pitcher Liam Doyle was named 2025 SEC Pitcher of the Year.
He was also a First-Team All-SEC selection, along with teammates Andrew Fischer and Gavin Kilen. Hunter Ensley earned Second-Team All-SEC honors and was selected to the SEC All-Defensive Team for Tennessee.
Doyle is the third Vol to earn SEC Pitcher of the Year honors, joining Luke Hochevar (2005) and Chase Dollander (2022).
Doyle transferred from Ole Miss and became the Vols’ starting pitcher for two combined no-hitters. He was named the SEC Pitcher of the Week three times.
Doyle is the nation’s leader in strikeouts (137), ranking third all time for a single season in program history. He needs 18 strikeouts to eclipse Hochevar’s single-season record of 154, set in 2005.
Fischer, a junior first baseman, earned second-team honors as a sophomore at Ole Miss last season. During the 2025 regular season, he led the conference in home runs (22), slugging percentage (.779), on-base percentage (.501), on-base plus slugging percentage (1.281) and walks (56).
Fischer has reached base for the Vols in all 56 games and has recorded 141 total bases. He totaled 67 runs and a .337 batting average in the 2025 regular season.
Kilen, a Louisville transfer, received first-team honors. He missed three weeks due to injury. Kilen has totaled 14 home runs and 119 total bases. His .365 batting average ranks ninth in the SEC, while his .692 slugging percentage is third in the league. Kilen is tied for fourth in the SEC with three triples.
Ensley, the Vols’ only senior, earned second-team all conference honors. He was also selected to the SEC All-Defensive Team.
The center fielder has recoded career highs in batting average (.350), hits (72), doubles (16), RBIs (60), slugging percentage (.573) and on-base percentage (.423). Defensively, Ensley has recorded a .990 fielding percentage, 95 putouts and two assists.
