LSU baseball adds coveted transfer from Power Four program

In the midst of a postseason run, LSU baseball is getting active in the transfer portal. On Saturday, former Kansas State infielder Seth Dardar announced his commitment to the Tigers with a post on social media.

Dardar comes to LSU after spending two seasons at Columbia and one season at Kansas State. Dardar began his career in 2022 and missed all of 2024 with an injury.

In 95 collegiate games, Dardar has a .309 average, .409 on-base percentage, and .592 slugging. Dardar hit 13 home runs with Kansas State in 2025.

With LSU expecting to lose most of its infield production, LSU is looking for veteran infielders in the transfer portal. Dardar helps fill that need and he brings power conference experience.

LSU and Kansas State met earlier this year. Against the Tigers, Dardar had two hits, which included a home run.

Dardar’s commitment to LSU is a homecoming for the grad transfer. He’s a native of Mandeville, LA and went to Holy Cross High School.

Dardar is LSU’s second transfer addition of the cycle. Earlier this month, LSU added former High Point third basemen Brayden Simpson.
