The House of Chills was ready on Monday night for the first action of the Meadville hockey season. It was the first regular season and PIHL game, as the Bulldogs took the ice down Patrick Mahoney and Luke Ferry, who helped the golf team win a District 10 championship. The Bulldogs could not pull out a win over a strong Quaker Valley team, being shut out 4-0.
After two preseason games, the Bulldogs came out slow to start the first. Quaker Valley got almost all of the chances off slow Meadville feet. Two of the Quakers’ first-period chances were two breakaways, where sophomore goalie Max Benninger stood tall.
