This is a reasonable line, maybe a bit low. Miami is the #2 team in the polls, and seem to be on the path towards the College Football Playoffs. And while Florida State is rejuvenated at 3-1 and ranked #8 after a 2-10 season last year, the Noles are coming off a 46-38 2OT loss on the road to Virginia on Friday night. Expect that ranking to drop into the mid-teens on Sunday.
There will be more conversation about this game through the week, but for now, Miami are favorites heading into the game, and now Florida State has our undivided attention. This is another chance to go 1-0 this week, and another chance to showcase what we’ve built in Coral Gables over the last few years. We’ll track the line movement through the week, but this feels maybe a point or two too low, in my opinion. We’ll see if my opinion it validated as the game gets closer.
