Three-star defensive lineman Jamir Perez also holds notable offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Wisconsin and Iowa State
Michigan State football has extended an offer to a three-star defensive lineman who has the interest of the defending national champions.
Jamir Perez of Cleveland, Ohio announced earlier this week that he has received an offer from Michigan State. Perez announced the offer via a post on his social media X account.
Perez is a three-star prospect in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports. He holds a 247Sports rating of 88, and is listed at 6-foot-4 and 360 pounds.
Perez ranks as the No. 75 defensive lineman in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 26 player from Ohio in the class.
Despite a relatively lower ranking, Perez has received notable interest from numerous big-time schools, including Ohio State, Alabama and Florida. All three of those schools, along with Purdue, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisville, Syracuse, Maryland, West Virginia and numerous group of five programs have extended him an offer.
According to 247Sports, Perez is set to take official visits to Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Purdue over the next month. Michigan State will surely be pushing to add an official visit to his list should they want to compete with these other schools for his commitment.
