Fitzpatrick came to Miami in the Summer blockbuster trade that featured cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers, while the Dolphins reacquired their 2018 first-round selection out of Alabama.
Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald previously reported that Fitzpatrick was searching for a new deal with the Dolphins, considering his current four-year pact he signed with the Steelers in 2022, is out of guaranteed money.
According to NFL sources #Dolphins safety Minkah Fitzpatrick has hired Drew Rosenhaus as his new agent.
Fitzpatrick is pushing for a new contract considering he’s out of guaranteed money on his existing deal, which pays him $15.5M this season.

A compromise was struck, and Fitzpatrick has himself a raise for the 2025 season. Newly hired agent Drew Rosenhaus will surely be working to earn his client a multi-year contract to give the former All-Pro safety some long-term security.
Fitzpatrick is entering his eighth NFL season and looks to stabilize a Dolphins secondary that has undergone major turnover this offseason and training camp.
Cornerbacks Ramsey and Kendall Fuller are out, while veterans Artie Burns, Jack Jones, and Mike Hilton are in. Behind them are first and second-year players Kader Kohou, Storm Duck, and Cam Smith.
Unfortunately, Miami is already hurting in terms of depth with Burns going down for the season with a torn ACL in training camp last week, a brutal reality for a Dolphins team desperate for backend defensive help.
Keeping Fitzpatrick, who figures to be a key piece as a leader and playmaker, happy should be a priority for the Dolphins’ front office and coaching staff, and this revised contract should do just that in the meantime.
