NBA Analyst Predicts Big 2026 Season For Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets failed to defeat the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night as their season came to a close with a blowout home loss at the hands of Stephen Curry and company.

The Rockets’ tough loss was fitting of a young team that pushed itself to the brink and responded as best it could while coming up short at the end.

Following the game, the Rockets were picked as a team to watch in 2026 by a former ESPN and current Fox Sports One analyst who sent a warning to the rest of the NBA about the Rockets’ potential.

“Man, Houston is tough,” Chris Broussard wrote on X Sunday. “Defense is incredible.”

“They’re going to be monsters next year.”

The Rockets got solid performances from Amen Thompson (24 points), Alperen Sengun (21 points) and Fred VanVleet on the night, but just 11 points combined from Jalen Green and Steven Adams.

Fans reacted in the comments.

“They’re so tough they choked away Game 7 at home against a Play-In team,” one said.

“Houston needs a superstar they got (a lot) of good players,” another said.

“If they learn how to score, or else the same thing will happen,” another added.

The Rockets have not won a playoff series since 2019-2020.

If coach Ime Udoka’s team continues to grow, learn and improve its play on both sides of the court, the sky is limit going forward for Texas’ historically strong NBA franchise.
