New York Jets News: Jets Acquire CB Jarvis Brownlee in Trade with Titans

Good morning Gang Green Nation!

Lots of news involving the New York Jets today. The Jets placed linebackers Quincy Williams and Marcelino McCrary-Ball on the injured reserve list, a damaging blow to the Jets defense. They signed a couple of scrub linebackers to fill in. The Jets also traded a 2026 sixth round pick to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for second year cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr. and a seventh round pick. That seems like a pretty good deal for the Jets. Brownlee was a decent starting cornerback for the Titans. A late round pick swap seems a minimal price to pay for such a player.

For now Brownlee has a lower leg injury and will probably not see action right away. Further down the line Brandon Stephens and/or Michael Carter may be in jeopardy of snaps to Brownlee.
