No. 7 Georgia baseball schedule, TV as Bulldogs play Missouri

The No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs will look to extend its three game winning streak over the weekend on the road against the Missouri Tigers. Georgia (36-11, 12-9 in the SEC) had a golden opportunity to rise up the SEC standings on the road against a struggling Missouri (13-31, 0-21 in the SEC) team.

Missouri has lost eight straight games and is just 8-13 at home. The Tigers are easily the worst team in the SEC. Georgia needs to pounce on the Tigers and earn a sweep otherwise it could damage Georgia’s hopes of hosting a Super Regional in the NCAA Tournament.

“It’s a grind,” said Georgia baseball manager Wes Johnson after UGA’s recent 9-2 win over Kennesaw State. “Not only the (midweek) games are hard, it’s mentally hard on you. Just to come out and play loose and get some things done. I thought our pitchers did a really good job today.”

“We did hit some guys. We have to clean that up a bit, but that always gives your hitters a little chance to relax when you have guys coming out, attacking the strike zone the way we were. You need those games, and we only lost one midweek all year which says a lot. It’s really hard to do when you come off of such emotional weekends,” added Johnson.
