As each NFL draft nears, there are always news of risers and fallers when it comes to certain players’ draft stock. In the case of Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson, he seems to be quickly moving up the boards of a lot of teams in need of an explosive, three-down back.
All you have to do is turn on the tape and watch Henderson’s game-breaking ability and see how he can do everything you want a back to be able to do. He can catch it out of the backfield, break tackles, take it the distance, and — very important — block in protection like probably no other back in the draft.
It’ll be awfully intriguing to see just how far up he goes when we begin watching the first round of the draft that begins on Thursday night.
Before that, though, Henderson dropped a short documentary of his path to the NFL draft that we think is worth your while. It’s on YouTube, but he shared it on his social media for all to see. It’s about 30 minutes long and tells the story of his childhood, path to Ohio State, journey to his faith, and then the lead-up to the draft.
Do yourself a favor and get to know Henderson even more as a person. We knew he was an on-the-field talent and spiritual leader on the team, and this documentary only solidifies that and reinforces the person that some lucky NFL team is going to select in the early rounds of the NFL draft.
You can tune in and see if Henderson can sneak into the first round of the draft beginning at 8 p.m. ET Thursday night. If he slides out of the first round, you can bank on him hearing his name called shortly thereafter.
