Melissa Jefferson-Wooden continued her dominance of the women’s Short Sprints on day one of the penultimate Grand Slam Track round in Philadelphia by upstaging Gabby Thomas in the 200m. Jefferson-Wooden finished third over this distance last time out in Miami but bounced back in style to comfortably see off Thomas, who won three gold medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics including this event.
