Based on grades from Pro Football Focus, here are the best and worst players from the Packers’ Week 14 win over the Bears:

Top 5 offense

  1. WR Christian Watson: 83.2

Love was excellent from clean pockets and against the blitz in another outing considered “elite” by PFF grade. Jacobs created 80 yards after first contact, forced nine missed tackles, had three runs of at least 10 yards and caught both targets. Watson caught all four targets, gained 46 yards after the catch, scored two touchdowns, created a perfect 158.3 passer rating when targeted and averaged 4.24 yards per route run. Musgrave had two catches for 22 yards and an explosive play negated by replay over 21 snaps. Tom allowed three hurries but earned a team-best 86.5 run blocking grade.

Top 5 defense

  1. CB Carrington Valentine: 67.8

Nixon committed two penalties and allowed a touchdown pass, but he also broke up a pass, produced a quarterback hit and had the game-sealing interception in the end zone. Bullard made two stops and allowed only three catches for 19 yards into his coverage. Williams broke up a pass with a punch on Colston Loveland, had a hurry as a pass-rusher and made a run stop. Sorrell had a hurry working against Darnell Wright. Valentine made five tackles without a miss and gave up just one catch for 27 yards against his coverage.

Bottom 5 offense

Belton gave up two pressures and had a 58.1 run blocking grade. Doubs didn’t have a catch (0-for-2 on targets, 0-for-1 on contested catches) despite running 19 routes. Walker had an 85.7 pass block grade, but he was charged with giving up a sack and had a team-low 45.8 run block grade. Rhyan was solid in the run game (68.7 grade) but had a pass block grade of just 28.3. Banks was excellent as a pass protector (81.1 grade) — he’s only here because the offense was mostly good across the board.

Riley missed a tackle and finished with a 29.5 run defense grade over 14 snaps in his Packers debut. Brinson struggled against the run over 27 snaps. Wooden struggled against the run over 43 snaps. Brooks struggled against the run over 47 snaps. Brinson, Wooden and Brooks combined for zero pressures in the first game without Devonte Wyatt. Walker made nine tackles without a miss but allowed a touchdown against his coverage.

Special teams (73.2)

Ty’Ron Hopper made two tackles and assisted on another, earning an elite 91.3 special teams grade. Isaiah McDuffie, Arron Mosby and Zayne Anderson also had tackles. The Packers had three special teams penalties, including two blocking penalties. In the cold, Daniel Whelan produced a net punting average of 46.0 yards. Brandon McManus had a kickoff go out of bounds for a penalty but made all four extra points. The Packers’ three kickoff returns averaged 28.3 yards. Despite the penalties, this was one of the Packers’ highest graded special teams efforts of the season.

Quarterback play

Jordan Love: 90.4

Love threw an interception but also had three “big time throws” and was elite from clean pockets and when blitzed. He completed 13 of 17 passes for 204 yards and three touchdown passes when kept clean; he completed 9 of 12 passes for 171 yards and three touchdown passes when blitzed. Love had five completions for 90 yards off play-action and hit two passes thrown over 20 yards. Love has three grades of 90.0 or better over the last four weeks.

Stat to know

Caleb Williams did well to escape pressure, but he still finished 3 of 12 passing for 39 yards and an average of 3.3 yards per attempt when pressured. The Packers had Williams under pressure on 35.9 percent of his dropbacks. Micah Parsons led the way with seven pressures and two quarterback hits
