PVR INOX has unveiled an exciting lineup for its Women’s Day Film Festival, scheduled to run from March 7 to March 13, 2025, featuring the re-release of three powerful films led by Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, and Priyanka Chopra. The selected movies are Highway, Queen, and Fashion. This initiative aims to celebrate female-led narratives and provide audiences with a chance to relive these cinematic gems.
Queen, Highway and Fashion to re-release during PVR INOX’s Women’s Day Film Festival; deets inside!
The festival kicks off on International Women’s Day, March 7, and will span seven days across PVR INOX cinemas in multiple cities. Highway, directed by Imtiaz Ali, showcases Alia Bhatt’s breakout role as a young woman finding liberation on an unexpected road trip. Kangana Ranaut’s Queen, helmed by Vikas Bahl, offers a transformative journey of self-discovery, earning her a National Award for Best Actress. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra’s Fashion, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, delves into the highs and lows of the modeling industry, earning her a National Award for her compelling portrayal.
While sharing the announcement on social media, PVR INOX wrote in caption, “Celebrate the strength, grace, and brilliance of women through the power of cinema! This Women’s Day, experience iconic films that honour unforgettable female characters and their journeys. Catch these inspiring blockbusters from March 7 to 13 at PVR INOX.”
The re-release of these films aligns with PVR INOX’s strategy to capitalize on the strong demand for older movies, a trend that has seen success with titles like Tumbbad and Sanam Teri Kasam in recent quarters. Currently, Shah Rukh Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit’s Dil To Pagal Hai, Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor’s Raanjhanaa, Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur, among others, are screening in theaters.
Besides Queen, Highway and Fashion, Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh starrer Lootera is also scheduled to re-release on March 7.
