Rams could try to move up for TE in 1st round

Are the Rams going to move up for Tyler Warren or Colston Loveland?

If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.

The Los Angeles Rams could take that approach into the 2025 NFL Draft, but not in the sense that they haven’t succeeded in the last two years. But rather, because they’ve come up short in their pursuit of a tight end.

In 2023, they attempted to trade up for Dalton Kincaid in Round 1, but he landed with the Bills. Last year, they tried hard to move up for Brock Bowers and made several offers to teams ahead of them before he went 13th overall to the Raiders.

According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the Rams could once again try to move up for a tight end this year.

Expect the Rams to once again show interest in a tight end in the first round. Last year, Los Angeles tried — and failed — to move up to select Brock Bowers. I’m told Sean McVay and Les Snead could once again try to move up to get their guy.

The most obvious targets would be Penn State’s Tyler Warren and Michigan’s Colston Loveland. It’s unlikely either player will be on the board at No. 26 overall, so the Rams may have to move up to land one of them. Warren is projected to go earlier than Loveland, but they’re both unquestionably in a tier of their own at tight end.

Warren could go as early as No. 7 to the Jets, while Loveland has frequently been mocked to the Colts at No. 14. If the Rams are set on taking a top tight end, they might have to move into the top 15 to make it happen.
