Rams Puka Nacua ranked ahead of Davante Adams in WR rankings

The Los Angeles Rams have two of the best receivers in the NFL between Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. The two combined for more than 200 receptions and more than 2,000 receiving yards this past season and now join forces as Matthew Stafford’s top pass-catchers with the Rams in 2025.

Nacua and Adams are on opposite ends of their careers, though. Nacua will be 24 before the 2025 season and is entering his third year in the league, while Adams is 33 and entering his 12th NFL season.

Despite the age difference, Nacua ranked higher than Adams in Pro Football Focus’ receiver rankings heading into the season. PFF’s Trevor Sikkema ranked Nacua No. 5 and Adams No. 16 among his top 32 receivers.

“Nacua missed time in 2024 but still finished with the league’s highest receiving grade at 93.0, pushing his two-year total to nearly 3,000 receiving yards,” Sikkem wrote. “He’s neither the biggest nor the fastest, but few receivers are more difficult to cover.

“Adams posted his lowest receiving grade since 2016 with a 76.8 in 2024, a concerning trend as he enters his age-32 season. Still, his elite production over the past five years warrants some benefit of the doubt — especially now that he’ll be working with Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay.”

Regardless of their ranking, Nacua and Adams are one of the best receiving duos in the NFL. Cooper Kupp, who the Rams released after signing Adams, didn’t make Sikkema’s list.
