Seahawks reveal rookie jersey numbers

The Seattle Seahawks have concluded the 2025 NFL draft and have brought in 11 new rookies. It is one of the better drafts Seattle has had in recent years, and the 12th Man should be incredibly excited for the upcoming season.

Now that the rookies have joined the team, the next item on the docket is assigning them jersey numbers. On Wednesday afternoon, Seattle did just that by announcing it on their Twitter account. Here are the numbers, in order they were drafted, the latest Seahawks will be donning in 2025. Keen-eyed 12’s will certainly notice a familiar number back in the rotation.

  • Grey Zabel – #76
  • Nick Emmanwori – #3
  • Elijah Arroyo – #18
  • Jalen Milroe – #6
  • Rylie Mills – #98
  • Tory Horton – #15
  • Robbie Ouzts – #40
  • Bryce Cabeldue – #77
  • Damien Martinez – #22
  • Mason Richman – #78
  • Ricky White III – #86

For the first time since Russell Wilson last took the field to conclude the 2021 season, jersey No. 3 has returned to the Seahawks. Admittedly, it will be weird to see it back in action, and many fans will wonder why it hasn’t been retired yet. Seattle typically waits until a player has been selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and going into Canton primarily as a Seahawk. Look at all the numbers Seattle has retired: Steve Largent’s No. 80, Walter Jones’ No. 71, Kenny Easley’s No. 45, and Cortez Kennedy’s No. 96. The only exception to this “rule” is, of course, No. 12 for the fans.

Another thing I’d like to point out is No. 6 has been made available to Jalen Milroe due to action the Seahawks took at the quarterback position. Prior to the draft, backup Sam Howell switched jersey numbers from 6 to 2, leading Drew Lock to choose the recently vacated 6. But with Howell being traded to the Minnesota Vikings, and with Milroe choosing 6, it’s safe to assume Lock returned to 2.
