We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with a strong background in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable cloud-based platforms. This role requires deep expertise in automation, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of cloud technologies.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable cloud platforms using infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Develop and implement automation strategies for platform provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operations.
- Drive continuous improvement of our cloud infrastructure, focusing on efficiency, security, and cost optimization.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure platform capabilities meet application requirements and best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert on cloud technologies and automation, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Present complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance our platform capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar.
- In-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform including their core services (compute, networking, storage, databases).
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Certifications in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience with site reliability engineering (SRE) principles.
- Familiarity with various database technologies (relational and NoSQL).
