Steelers fall to Texans in Wild Card round to end season

This season was supposed to be different. All the changes on the roster was supposed to make the 2025 season different. But when the dust settled on the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-6 playoff loss to the Houston Texans, it was just more of the same for the Steelers and now they face another offseason wondering why everything went wrong.

We fully expected this to be a defensive battle and for the first half that’s exactly what we got. The difference was despite the Texans early struggles on offense, the defense next stopped playing and that energy spilled over and helped them get the offense on track. For Pittsburgh, when the offense failed to deliver, the defense ran out of gas.

This type of performance not only ends the Steelers season and extends the Steelers winless streak in the playoffs but will once again call into question if head coach Mike Tomlin is the guy for this team after nearly two decades.
