After the Pittsburgh Steelers traded wide receiver George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys less than a week ago, it really changed the look of the Steelers offense. Pittsburgh now must hope that in year two, wide receiver Roman Wilson can make a leap and veteran Robert Woods can still produce like a starter. Here’s our updated look at the entire offense after the trade.
Quarterback
With no Aaron Rodgers in the fold, the Steelers could lean on journeyman Mason Rudolph to lead the offense.
Running back
We expect a tandem of Jaylen Warren and Kaleb Johnson to power what will be a run-heavy offense. They should split carries once Johnson is up to speed on the offense.
Wide receiver
With Pickens gone, it is DK Metcalf, Robert Woods, Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson making up maybe the worst wide receiver group in the AFC.
Tight end
No changes here as Pat Freiermuth and Darnell Washington will continue to be the key players to be under used in this offense.
Offensive tackle
Dan Moore Jr. is out and Troy Fautanu is in. Technically, Broderick Jones takes over at left tackle in place of Moore and Fautanu takes over Jones’ spot on the right.
Interior offensive line
The guard tandem of Isaac Seumalo and Mason McCormick stays in place, with Zach Frazier heading into year two as the center.
