As the league gears up for the 2025 NFL draft in just a few weeks, individual teams are also preparing for offseason workout programs. These workouts are a critical component of training, teaching, and the physical conditioning of players. It keeps them in game shape, provides an opportunity for newly acquired players to begin the bonding process with their new teams, and it gives coaches an early look at where their team is starting.
There are three phases of offseason workouts. Phase one is the first two weeks and activities are limited to meetings, strength and conditioning, and injury rehab. Phase two allows for on-field workouts without contact, drills are okay but no offense vs. defense drills are permitted, and everything is a walk-through. Phase three is organized team workouts or OTAs, and each team is allowed 10 total days of activity where 7-on-7, 7-on-9, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.
On Thursday, the NFL released each team’s offseason workout schedule. The Tennessee Titans schedule is as follows:
First Day: April 22
OTA Offseason Workouts: May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, June 5
Mandatory Minicamp: June 10-12
Two days before the draft starts, on April 22, the Titans will begin reporting for Phase One activities with Phase Two beginning the first full week of May. Phase three is OTAs and the mandatory minicamp in June, and come July is when players will begin reporting for training camp activities in preparation for the season.
The 2025 NFL offseason is in full swing now, and it’s not going to slow down anytime soon.
