The 2026 NFL draft is already a topic of discussion after the 2025 draft occurred last week. On the outside looking in, it seems like there could be a lot of quality quarterback talent available for teams who need it.
Of course, all of the talk has been about Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning being eligible to enter the draft. He has already been talked about as the clear-cut No. 1 pick if he enters and becomes available.
Behind Manning, the most popular quarterback prospects are Cade Klubnik, Drew Allar, and Garrett Nussmeier.
While those four quarterbacks all have elite potential, there is another name who is turning some heads. That quarterback is none other than Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson.
Matt Miller of ESPN, one of the best draft experts in the business, called out Robertson’s name as one to keep a close eye on during the 2025 college football season.
“Scouts are also buzzing about Sawyer Robertson (Baylor) and LaNorris Sellers (South Carolina) as high-upside prospects to watch,” he wrote.
During the 2024 college football season, Robertson completed 62.2% of his pass attempts for 3,071 yards, 28 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He also picked up 230 yards and four scores on the ground.
Standing in at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Robertson is the perfect size for an NFL quarterback. The Lubbock, Texas native has the arm to make plays and the athleticism to extend plays that NFL teams want.
He still has a lot of work to do and will need to perform well during the 2025 college football season, but he’s a name to keep a close eye on moving forward.
