The Philadelphia 76ers are currently on a 5-game losing skid following a 112-99 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night. The loss finished up a 1-5 road trip as the Sixers now head home to play host to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
The Sixers have gotten some help as of late in terms of the lottery as the Toronto Raptors knocked off the Washington Wizards. Philadelphia expanded its lead in the lottery standings to two games now over Toronto with an important matchup with the Raptors looming on March 30.
That leaves the Sixers and the Brooklyn Nets battling it out for the fifth-worst record in the league. The Nets have lost four in a row and are trying to position themselves best for the lottery as well. Philadelphia’s first-round pick is only top 6 protected.
