Updated LSU baseball schedule after weather forces change

LSU baseball will not begin its series vs. Texas A&M on Friday night. Due to inclement weather in College Station, the Tigers and Aggies are forced to play a double-header on Saturday.

First pitch for game one will now come at 2:00 PM CT on Saturday. One hour after the conclusion of the first game, game two will get underway.

The decision to postpone to Saturday came after the game was initially pushed back to 8 PM CT.

LSU faced schedule trouble last week, too, when lightning forced the Tigers to wait through a delay vs. Tennessee. A double-header presents a challenge for the pitching staff, but at least LSU avoids the late night on Friday.

Jay Johnson will need ace Kade Anderson to pitch deep into game one, giving LSU the flexibility it needs later on Saturday and in game three on Sunday.

LSU baseball is looking to stay hot this weekend after taking two of three from Tennessee last week. The Tigers have rebounded since getting swept by Auburn a few weeks ago and are in the hunt for a top-eight seed in the NCAA Tournament.
