Let’s highlight seven quick takeaways from the Colts’ unofficial Week 6 depth chart.
The Indianapolis Colts released their Week 6 unofficial depth chart prior to this week’s matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
Compared to last week, there have been several roster changes that have taken place.
In addition to that, taking into account the snap counts from this most recent game and injuries that the Colts are navigating, we have a few new takeaways as well.
Here are several roster notes and a look at where things stand playing time-wise at a few positions for the Colts.
- WR: Michael Pittman Jr., Ashton Dulin
- LT: Bernhard Raimann, Luke Tenuta
- LG: Quenton Nelson
- C: Tanor Bortolini, Danny Pinter
- RG: Matt Goncalves, Dalton Tucker
- RT: Braden Smith, Jalen Travis
- TE: Tyler Warren, Mo Alie-Cox, Drew Ogletree, Will Mallory
- WR: Josh Downs, Anthony Gould
- WR: Alec Pierce, Adonai Mitchell
- QB: Daniel Jones, Anthony Richardson Sr., Riley Leonard
- RB: Jonathan Taylor, Tyler Goodson OR DJ Giddens
– After AD Mitchell’s fumble in Week 5, Ashton Dulin would see almost all of the snaps opposite of Michael Pittman with Alec Pierce out, and he took advantage of his opportunities. Even if Pierce returns this week, it’ll be interesting to see if Dulin takes control of the WR4 role.
– With Tyler Goodson sidelined in this game, the Colts elevated Ameer Abdullah to be the third running back.
- DE: Kwity Paye, Tyquan Lewis, JT Tuimoloau
- DT: DeForest Buckner, Neville Gallimore, Adetomiwa Adebawore
- NT: Grover Stewart, Eric Johnson II
- DE: Laiatu Latu, Samson Ebukam
- WLB: Joe Bachie, Segun Olubi, Buddy Johnson
- MLB: Zaire Franklin, Chad Muma, Austin Ajiake
- CB: Charvarius Ward Sr. Johnathan Edwards
- FS: Camryn Bynum, Rodney Thomas II
- SS: Nick Cross, Trey Washington
- N: Kenny Moore II
- CB: Mekhi Blackmon, Chris Lammons
– Olubi and Johnson are listed as the backup WILL linebackers, but Muma and Ajiake were the ones to see those snaps. In what was a rough game for Bachie, Ajiake saw the most snaps among this trio. The Colts continue to rotate heavily at that second linebacker spot.
– Chris Lammons is listed as the backup outside cornerback, but after Mike Hilton exited the game, he was the one who took over at the nickel.
– As expected, without Xavien Howard, it was Blackmon who started opposite of Charvarius Ward.
– With Daniel Scott being placed on IR, Trey Washington is now the backup strong safety.
- P: Rigoberto Sanchez
- PK: Michael Badgley
- H: Rigoberto Sanchez
- LS: Luke Rhodes
- KR: Anthony Gould, Ashton Dulin
- PR: Anthony Gould, Josh Downs
– The Colts placed Spencer Shrader on IR and signed Michael Badgley on Tuesday.
