Aidan Hutchinson continues to rewrite the Lions record book

Aidan Hutchinson keeps making Detroit Lions history. The defensive end continued to etch his name deeper into the franchise’s long record book in Sunday’s 34-10 win over the visiting Cleveland Browns.

Hutchinson played a big role in Detroit’s victory. No. 97 logged four tackles, two sacks, two TFLs and a forced fumble in the game. It’s the third straight game with a sack for Hutchinson.

Per the Lions PR department, it’s also the first time a player has produced a sack and a forced fumble in two straight games for Detroit since Dashawn Hand did so back in 2018. Stretching back to Week 2, Hutchinson has posted five QB hits, four sacks and two forced fumbles. No Lions player has ever done that over a three-game span before. Detroit won all three games.

Hutchinson now has 32 sacks for his career. Just four games into his fourth season, and after missing 11 games in 2024, Hutchinson has already matched the Lions franchise record for most sacks in the first four seasons, tying Ezekiel Ansah. The 2013 first-rounder racked up his 32 sacks in 59 games in his first four years Detroit. Hutchinson has played in 43.
