Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar and Tum Mere Ho hit the cinemas this weekend. Though both films took a low start at the box office, the former gained relatively better traction on the opening day. As per estimates, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar minted around Rs. 50 lakh nett on its debut day.
Considering a debutante star cast of fresh faces, it’s a reasonable opening. However, it needs to show good growth over the weekend in order to have a chance at the box office. It is in the same genre as Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar Ka Punchnama, which opened around Rs 94 lakh nett on its opening day in 2011.

| Day | Box Office |

Another release of the weekend, Tum Mere Ho, starring Gurmeet Choudhary and Isha Malviya, opened at almost half of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar. Estimates suggest an opening in the vicinity of Rs. 25 to 30 lakh nett at the Indian box office. That’s a dull start, to say the least.

The fate of Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar and Tum Mere Ho will depend on how they perform on weekdays. If they manage to strike the right chords with the audience, there will be some growth in their box office runs.
