Celtics dominate Pacers behind Jaylen Brown’s big night

The Boston Celtics were out for revenge against the Indiana Pacers, while also looking to get back in the win column after their last-second loss to the Detroit Pistons on Monday. In their last meeting against Indiana, the Pacers pulled their only win of the 4-game series, defeating Boston who were without Jaylen Brown.

A full Celtics lineup took the floor on Wednesday night, and the contest was led in most part from start to finish, with the Pacers biggest lead only being 1 point. Jaylen Brown paved the way for his entire team, putting together a dominant performance with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Controlled the boards: Boston’s starting unit combined for 35 of the team’s 54 rebounds, which were 12 more than the Pacers grabbed on the night. Not only did every starter have at least 5 rebounds a piece, Luka Garza and Jordan Walsh also hit that benchmark in this one. Indiana only had two players with at least 5 rebounds, with Pascal Siakam leading the way with 10 boards on the night.

Took the lead and never looked back: Boston led this matchup for 96% of the game, with their largest lead getting as high as 23 points. After a disappointing performance the last time they met, the Celtics took control and did not let up, asserting their dominance from start to finish.
