There’s a LOT going down at JPMorgan Chase right now… and we’re not just talking about banking. Buckle up for this one.
In April, a former JPMorgan banker, who listed himself as John Doe, launched a lawsuit in New York state court against executive Lorna Hajdini. Per Rheingold Giuffra Ruffo Plotkin & Hellman LLP, the plaintiff, whose identity was later revealed as Chirayu Rana, accused Hajdini of using her status and authority to coerce him into non-consensual sex acts. Hajdini denied the accusations and filed a countersuit against Rana for defamation, but JPMorgan notably attempted to settle his suit. The New York personal injury law firm revealed:
“While there have been attempts by JPMorgan to resolve the legal dispute before the lawsuit, as the bank offered $1 million to settle the allegations, Rana rejected it. The case remains ongoing and has not yet been resolved in court.”
YEESH.
Today, the issue remains FAR from over… And in fact, Rana just expanded his claims.

On Monday, Rana expanded his lawsuit in a refiling, adding more egregious accusations and naming additional defendants. In the filing, Rana renewed his allegations against Hajdini while telling the tale of an alleged incident in which she demanded he and another victim participate in a threesome with her while she was “visibly drunk” and “completely naked.” According to docs seen by TMZ, the alleged assault occurred in September 2024, with Hajdini apparently threatening Rana that if he didn’t have sex with her, she’d tank his career.
Rana eventually caved and the two went back to one of his family member’s apartments in Manhattan. When they arrived, Rana claimed Hajdini was “speaking so loudly” she woke up a witness who was staying in the apartment. Rana claimed Hajdini “emerged completely naked, sat on the living room couch, lit a cigarette, and repeatedly demanded that the witness ‘come join us.’” The witness refused, but Hajdini allegedly told him:
“You know, I own [Rana] so you’d better come join.”
She then returned to a bedroom, where the witness could hear the banker asking Hajdini to “stop” and to “leave.”
“I’m not going to do this … no, no, this isn’t right.”
When Hajdini finally did leave, the witness claimed Rana was “visibly shaken” and “in a state of shock,” according to the docs.
This is INSANE.
Elsewhere in the filing, Rana accused Hajdini of spiking his drink with a “performance-enhancing substance” when he was “unable to sexually perform.” He claimed to be unaware of it in the moment, but that the executive later told him she added “a little something” to his drink.
SO awful.
Rana’s Monday filing didn’t just cover alleged sexual assault, though… He also accused additional defendants of racial discrimination! Naming Brandon Graffeo, Jon Wolter, Kelly Crowe, and JPMorgan itself, Rana claimed he was called “monkey,” “brown boy,” and “Brownie.” Reuters reported the defendants suggested Rana use “rupees” for transactions and that he should “run before we call ICEE [sic] on your family.” Rana claimed his South Asian heritage “became the punchline for a stream of degrading jokes.”
How completely disgusting! WTF!
In a press release, Rana’s lawyer Jon Norinsberg, a partner at Joseph & Norinsberg LLC, said:
“This lawsuit seeks to hold the defendants accountable for fostering a workplace where blatant racism was tolerated and discrimination was ignored.”
In response to the filings, a spokesperson for JPMorgan said on behalf of the defendants:
“We don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims. While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused.”
