Who is getting who in the Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff split?
As you likely know, the pair broke up in July, three years after getting married, and there is a strong chance they won’t get back together! A source told Page Six last month that they “have no plans to reconcile” and “are done for good.” How sad! Margaret and Jack parting ways, however, has created a bit of a problem! Their famous friends are having to pick a side! An insider for RadarOnline explained on Friday:
“When a marriage like Jack and Margaret’s breaks up, and there aren’t any kids in the picture, the friends of the couple are forced to pick sides.”

Their pals also saw this coming, though. The source continued that those close to Jack always had been suspicious of Margaret after the music producer got his heartbroken when ex Lena Dunham cheated on him:
“Unfortunately, this breakup didn’t come as a shock to anybody who knew them as a couple. From day one, it was a weird vibe between him and Margaret, and Jack always carries around so much baggage from his famous years together with [ex-girlfriend] Lena Dunham. Some people in Jack’s world viewed Margaret with suspicion. But the hard truth is that she was away and working on movies for a big chunk of this marriage, and Jack got to do whatever the hell he wanted when he was home alone.”
For what it’s worth, Margaret shut down the rumors that cheating had been the reason for their separation…
As for the matter of who is sticking by who, Jack’s getting longtime collaborator and friend Taylor Swift. But, we mean, duh. That’s obvious. The source said:
“Taylor is with Jack to the end of the line, and they have made tens of millions of dollars from sticking together.”
Meanwhile, Margaret has a lot of folks in Hollywood backing her, including Substance co-star Demi Moore. The source continued:
“That said, Margaret still has a world of support in Hollywood, from her frequent collaborators Ethan Coen and Tricia Cooke, to Ridley Scott and Demi Moore. There are tons of big-time players who think Margaret is the next Julia Roberts or Emma Stone, and they’re betting a lot of time and money on her.”
Despite having so many stars behind her, Margaret is reportedly being as careful as possible throughout this breakup, all because of Taylor. We all know the kind of power she has in this biz! The insider concluded:
“She has to be careful about how she conducts herself in this split because the world is watching and because Taylor and [her new NFL player hubby] Travis [Kelce] will back Jack no matter what. Her best move is to settle this divorce quickly and get back to the business of making great movies. She doesn’t have any better paths than that.”
Of course, take all of this with a grain of salt. Taylor managed to remain close friends with both Lena and Jack after their breakup, so who knows! She may stay in touch with Margaret post-split, too!
