NFL analyst predicts Chargers’ next seven games, playoff seed

Despite all of the injuries, the Chargers are still in a good position with the regular season a little over the halfway mark. Los Angeles is 7-3 and only one game back from sitting atop the division.

With seven games left to be played, it won’t be all that easy for the Bolts, who have the tenth-toughest remaining schedule in the NFL, with games against the Broncos, Eagles and Chiefs coming up.

NFL Media’s Ali Bhanpuri, who predicted every team’s remaining game, doesn’t believe that the Chargers will win any of them. Bhanpuri sees them winning every other game (at Jaguars, vs. Raiders, at Cowboys, vs. Texans), however.

“Even with all of the injuries along the offensive line, Jim Harbaugh’s group grits out four more wins over the final eight weeks to secure a spot in the dance,” Bhanpuri said.

That’s good enough for an 11-6 finish and earning one of the wild card spots as the seventh seed in the conference.

For the rest of the AFC West, Bhanpuri has the Chiefs sweeping the rest of their opponents and finishing atop the AFC with a 13-4 record. He has the Broncos going 12-5, good enough for second in the division and sixth in the AFC. The Raiders stay in last place, projected to finish 4-13.

As long as Justin Herbert is under center, Los Angeles will have a chance to win games. But it will be a tall task for an injured offensive line against stout defensive fronts, like Kansas City, Philadelphia and Denver.
