Late in the fourth quarter, Texas appeared to find some life on offense as Arch Manning found Parker Livingstone for the Longhorns’ first touchdown of the day against Ohio State. It wasn’t without controversy, though, after a lengthy review.
Livingstone hauled in a 32-yard touchdown pass from Manning to cut the Buckeyes lead to 14-7 with 3:28 to go in Saturday’s top-five showdown. Before the PAT, the officials took some extra time to review the score – as is the case with every scoring play – and see if Livingstone held onto the football.
Ultimately, the SEC officiating crew said the call was upheld. Texas was on the board, looking to complete a late comeback against the defending national champions.
