Jan. 23—PRICEVILLE — Priceville has named Austin Burke as its new head football coach.
The announcement was made by the school on Thursday. Burke replaces head coach, Seth Parker who was named The Decatur Daily Class 5A-7A Coach of the Year this past season. Parker left earlier this month to take the Bob Jones head coaching position.

“I’ve been fortunate to coach under a lot of great head coaches, and Coach Parker was one of the best. I’ve learned a lot under him,” Burke said. “I’m grateful for this opportunity and I’m excited for the challenge.”
Burke has spent the last two seasons as the defensive coordinator at Priceville. Prior to that, he spent six years as an assistant at James Clemens as well as making stops at Hazel Green and Munford.
Burke played a big part in helping Priceville go from 2-8 in its first season in Class 5A in 2024 to 8-4 and the second round of the playoffs last season.
“I was part of the process with Coach Parker, and we’re going to continue to build on that and take it to the next level,” Burke said. “We’re going to keep moving in the right direction.”
